Sometimes when you have a job you will still feel like you are trapped. I like remembering the days when people could plant seed on their farm and raise their cattle and whatever they wanted so that they were self sustaining. Now these days you are forced into doing whatever you are able to at the time. You can't buy up a chunk of land for a decent price and make your own way through life. Now if you don't go to school you are stuck in the wasteland of low paying jobs that treat you like a slave. You are paid just enough to keep you alive. The wages are enough to keep you around so that they don't have to train someone shortly after you get hired then quit.

Women are like cats
Women are like cats...
If you pester them they never want petted or held. If you leave them alone they will come sit on your lap and put their ass in your face.
OK OK...that was a bit graphic but women really are like cats. Not all of them but most of them to an extent. Let me explain...

Life changes...roll with it
Older people seem to live calmly and happy and without a care in the world. Why is that?
They have gained enough experiences in life to cope with whatever comes at them. (for the most part)
We can only deal with things if we have a coping system in place to process the situation. The more experiences you have in life the stronger the coping methods you will devise on the fly. Sometimes you will have to work hard to figure out solutions to your problems. (solutions - coping methods)

Friends vs Lovers
Have you ever thought you loved your friend and could be more? That might be possible. You sure have to have a good connection with someone to be a lover but that doesn't mean it will work with your best friend.
The kind of connections have to be special to work with a mate. You can have a great friend of the opposite sex but not have the feeling of love attached to it. You might not get that amazing feeling in your heart, mind, and stomach when you think of the person. You might think about them all the time. You might hang out with them all the time but that sure doesn't mean its going to work out for anything more.
What is it about a lover that makes them just that? What differentiates a best friend from a lover other than not taking the chance?

Why people don't say what is on their minds
Some people believe that people should just say what is on their mind so that everything is out in the open so that everyone can clearly understand what is thought about any particular thing or person.
However there is an instinctual and social reason that many people do not say everything they wish.
People generally do not want to be seen as condescending and over opinionated or any other negative trait that people may think of them.
People wish to be liked. Being liked has many advantages that greatly overrule being correct or even perceived as correct or asserted as correct.

We all are different
Look for the longest time I figured that logic dictated everything. To a point it does but we all have the logic used in different ways. We all are different. Get used to it. You can't change people. They must change themselves.
Let's say that one guy likes to play video games. Another likes to play sports. One always nags on the other as to what is better. Neither. Both are just as acceptable depending on who you are. We all like different things. I like a ton of things but dislike a few things that generally most guys like. I don't really care either because I am me and they are them. I am my own and so are they. We all like different stuff and it doesn't matter. Just accept that each has their own reasons in doing what they do. So if you can't figure out why those darn kids are skateboarding all the time and they can't figure out why you want them out of your driveway you should think about this concept.

Looking isn't bad
We all look and no it's not bad. It's an instinct. Plus it's fun to look at the art of the human form. To hide this will just drive you nuts. To hide yourself from the world in certain ways will just frustrate you.
A girl recently posted on yahoo questions about this. She asked if it was bad if her bf told her that her friends or other girls were hot. The answer is no it's not wrong. Sure it may hurt her feelings but only if she is insecure. To be secure about your feelings with another is important for relationships. A woman should be able to express her likes and dislikes in whatever gender she prefers with her mate. A man should also be able to do this.
By expressing those things it doesn't indicate that we like others and the one being told. It just means we like what we see. At least he was being honest. It is interesting to see what the other sex likes anyhow. Why hide it? If you like it why not say something. Be confident in what you like and be confident in who you are as we all are different and are bound to like different or similar things. Enjoy this life you are enabled to live.

Concepts - Shallow vs Deep
Most concepts have a shallow way of viewing them as well as much more complex way of viewing them. Most people will view a concept in a shallow way. This is because the mind is designed to work efficiently as possible. We prioritize things. So we generally take a concept as quickly as possible. The people that process more data will view a concept more deeply generally than those that do not process very much data.
However even people that process a lot of data will end up viewing most of life in a shallow way. Sometimes we don't realize there is possibly a deeper reason to things or that we should even investigate to find out if there is or not.

Fortune Cookie Statements
Fortune cookies generally have a short message in them that is very cryptic and can be interpreted many different ways.
So when I say fortune cookie statements I am talking about statements people make that are short and cryptic and they think that you understand what they mean.
This is generally because people that have these statements are enlightened in the ways of life to a point where the concept they are trying to convey seems extremely simple to them. They think by saying this very short phrase that you will understand what they mean.

New Experiences
Life is all about experiences. Do you like living a copy of the day before over and over again? Sure you might have something awesome to do but it still sucks doing it all the time. Life is awesome when you do new things.
Experiences will teach you things books and others cannot relay to you. The experiences will be there for a lifetime. They are stories that you and your life generate that can be retold for years on end. The more extreme the experience the more extreme the lessons you learn.
The hardest thing I have found to do in life is the things you are afraid of. Most people are afraid of a few things here and there such as swimming or whatever. A general fear though among most humans is talking to new people...sober. It is difficult to get over that rejection. However the more you do the more you learn about not just others but about yourself.

Life - Don't Panic
I am starting this guide for you my little ones. I grew up not knowing much. Life is a hard place to live. I will try to tell you all I can herein so that you can be well prepared for your lives and not have to learn this all the hard way. Sometimes you will choose to learn it the hard way and I will still love you. We all must make that decision.
I can only give you the advice, you have to choose if you are willing to accept it and use it.
